Our country is very rich because nature
is generous here. We can find all kinds of fruit
and vegetables in Brazil.
These are typical fruit from the North:
cashews, papayas, mangoes. From the South
there are: apples, pears, strawberries,
There are many kinds of vegetables in
different regions of the country too:
lettuce, spinach, cabbage,
tomatoes, carrots, potatoes,
manioc, corn etc.
Fruit and vegetables contain
vitamins, necessary nutrients
for our good health and growth.
It is important to eat a variety of fruit and
vegetables. For example, fruit and vegetables
that are red, dark yellow, orange or green contain vitamin A,
C and fibre.
Different vitamins are good for different parts of our body:
Vitamin A is good for the eyes.
Vitamin C is good for the blood.
Vitamin A and C are good for teeth and gums.
